AGPNY trip- got back and met a few members

Yeah just got back from a trip up to AGPNY. I had planned to meet Nikki (All American Girl 2982) and walk around to see the displays. We ended up running into a few other members from the board.

The displays were nice overall- but the stock of Fleicity's items was a little saddening. Also they had only one Nellie's Irish Dance outfit facing outside the store...but it was mia upstairs in the historicl area. We original thought we couldn't see Elizabeth's items without a club memeber....but the personal shoppers were more than happy to let anyone see them but for obvious reasons we weren't allowed take any pics [img]frown.gif[/img] (so sorry guys no pics of Elizabeth's collection)

We asked about the different items of Felicity's to inquire about possible retiring, etc. The undergarments are sold out at the moment, but are expected back at some time. The tea set is sold out and of course they have no current date of getting them back in- there was speculation from the personal shopper about it maybe being retired because of the newer tea set with Elizabeth (and there was the same little tea chest with Elizabeth's collection)....we'll have to see. The chocolate set is also, as has been discussed before, in speculation as well...nothing definative to mention.
I checked on a couple of the short story outfits...saw Molly's victory garden dress still there as well as Kirsten's plaid dress with shawl.
Also Elizabeth's collection is going to be released over time....so we won't get to see it come out all at once [img]frown.gif[/img] It also seems that the public release party for Elizabeth will be September 10th along with the appearance of Valerie Trip at AGPNY.
Also in looking at Felicity's change...yea definately her head looks differently shaped now...rounder even. They have plenty of the rose garden gowns as a seperate purchase item. The accessories purse pattern has been changed- the flowers are larger the better match the traveling gown (now meet dress)..the coloration still matches better the rose garden gown (with the burgundy). No luck on a mini Felicity in the new meet dress yet- inquired from and employee- I was told she thought that she should be available around Sepember/October in the new meet outfit with the movie book/ maybe the mini meet book (?).
I'm sure Nikki will add more to this if she remebrs anything beyond what I have said. I'll post pics as soon as they are developed (long story short I had to use a wanna be cool camera because no car=ride from sister and digital camera being left at home =( )
Oh Nikki made me this awesome bracelet that resembles Felicity's original coral necklace..Thanks Nikki!!!

Jenny you pretty much covered everythng we did today. As Jenny said we met up with other members from the board. We saw Gabby (AG_Dancer) and her little Shannon and her mother. Also we met Audery there. I will be adding the pictures in afew mins bare with me while I make album. Here is the link to the album from today:

Also as Jenny mentioned the chocolate pot was sold out, tea lesson and undergarments. The choclate pot is being revamped we told by our personal shopper. And the tea lesson is staying they are just on backorder at the store. I was going to buy the tea lesson but I did not so I walked away with Lissie's short stories set and Lissie's Story Collection which has the new illstrations in it.

Glad you had a great time Jenny, and meeting up with so many HB members. Did you get anything for your girls or yourself at AGP?

Well the bf was there too- he was too embarassed to be in any pics =). We picked up Kirsten's winter blouse and skirt, as well as the red boots. He also surprised me by picking up the club membership solely so that we could get Elizabeth for me to cheer me up. I'll post my picks as soon as they are developed.

It was fun running into you guys! Actually, about the mini Felicitys, they had both kinds on the shelves (rose garden gown and traveling gown). I wasn't crazy about the traveling gown one myself, but a lot of the charm of the 18" dolls gets lost on the minis anyway, IMO. [img]wink.gif[/img]
